Frameless vs semi-frameless shower screens

The right screen should feel at home in the room—and work beautifully every day.

A lighter view

Frameless screens use glass panels with carefully positioned hinges, clamps or channels. With fewer visible framing elements, they offer a clean look that suits bathrooms where the stone, tiles or view deserves attention. The design still needs suitable supports and accurate measurements.

Where framing helps

A semi-frameless screen combines larger areas of glass with a more visible frame around selected edges. It can offer a different balance of appearance and budget, depending on the layout and hardware chosen. Frame profiles and door arrangements vary between systems.

Think about the everyday

Consider the space available for a door to swing, where water will land and how easily you can reach the surfaces for cleaning. A sliding door may suit a tighter bathroom. Regular cleaning and drying can help minimise soap and mineral build-up on glass and hardware.

Making the choice

Bring your bathroom dimensions, photos and preferred finishes to the conversation. The best solution depends on the opening, wall conditions and the details of the selected system—not just its appearance in a photograph.
